Cartridge filter

Refers to filter products composed of various nonwoven polymeric filaments, support screens and other component materials encased in a cylindrical cartridge casing. Cartridges are installed and used inside vessels (filter housings). They are also sometimes referred to as “elements.”

Vessel (filter housing)

Vessels are tank-shaped containers for one or more cartridges, designed according to the required throughput/flow rate in order to make full use of the capabilities of filter cartridges.

Filter media

The word filter media, as used on this site, refers to filter materials that are formed into cartridge shape and used in cartridge filters.
